October 22 , 2021 the Plateau Corvette Club lost their Club Governor Jack Carkner. Jack was instrumental in starting the Plateau Corvette Club from the very beginning and continued to help build the club into what it is today. Jacks vast knowledge of Corvettes and NCCC was a great help in forming the club. He was the Charter Governor and remained in that position until his death. He served his country as a member of the US Navy.

Jack was employed as a supervisor with Mobil Oil Corporation in Albany, NY for over 30 years. He was friendly and outgoing, and enjoyed his Corvette, bowling and gardening. He was a good friend and a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He will be greatly missed.

Rest in Peace Jack.
