December 16th Plateau Corvette Club members participated in the National Wreaths Across America Day by attending the ceremony at the Cookeville Courthouse and then traveling to Crestlawn Cemetery where they volunteered to lay wreaths on Veteran’s graves. During this process, they were asked and encouraged to say the name of the Veteran aloud as they placed the wreath on his or her grave, thank them for their service and sacrifice, and lastly, to reflect on that person and their life. It was truly an emotional experience.
REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.
Thanks to Roger and Kathy for leading and Mike (Murf) for suggesting the event
