September 16th Plateau Corvette Club members attended the  Lake Tansi Annual Autumn Leaf Festival & Cruise In.  Vendors were at the festival selling their crafts along with fantastic food Vendors. Cruise In featured many classic cars and trucks along with the club Corvettes. Clear skies made for a fun afternoon. There also was music by The Jeff Allen Band from Nashville.

On August 26 Plateau Corvette Club members enjoyed a fun afternoon at the Downtown Cruise In in Crossville. Clear skies and cool weather made for a fun day. Lots of vintage cars and trucks on display.

The Plateau Corvette Club was invited to participate in a “Watch the Solar Eclipse Event” at the 4 way stop in Fairfield Glade on Monday, Aug 21 from noon to 3 pm. The Club had  reserved parking on blacktop for their Corvettes and were able to sit under the shade of the nearby trees. They waited and viewed the total eclipse that turned day time into night time for a few minutes.

The East Tennessee Corvette Club had extended an invitation to the Plateau Corvette Club to join them on their August Dine and Drive. They attended a play at the Cumberland  County Play House, a performance entitled “Lying in State”, then had dinner at Cumberland Mountain State Park.

Saturday August 5 Dennis & Carol organized and lead a group of 7 total Corvettes to lunch at the Gondolier Restaurant in Harriman, TN. The group enjoyed a scenic route thru back roads of TN on an beautiful day.  In attendance were: Sam & Lee , John & Reggie , Don & Mary , Norman, Ron , and Tom & Dawn. July 22 Plateau Corvette Club members attended the Crossville Downtown Cruise In. With no rain in sight they enjoyed a hot summer day of viewing other classic cars on main street.

Monday night July 17th Plateau Corvette Club members enjoyed a night of live music, sitting down by the Lake under a shade tree in Fairfield Glade.

July 15, 2017 Plateau Corvette clubs Drive and Dine was to Foglight Foodhouse in Walling, TN. located on the Caney Fork River. With rain in the air most members drove their steel cars instead of the Corvettes. It still was a fun drive and a dry one after all. Well maybe next time we can drive our Corvettes.

July 8th Plateau Corvette Club members drove to East Fork Stables in Jamestown Tn to attend the 2017 Cumberland Plateau BBQ Cook-Off & Cruise-In. They enjoyed the Kansas City BBQ Society Competition combined with a car show, a antique tractor show, and live music! After a great Barbecue lunch they enjoyed live music performed by OLDS 88. On the drive home they stopped at the Cumberland Mountain General Store in Clarkrange to cool off with some delicious Ice Cream
