  • Plateau Corvette Club members attended the Scarecrow Festival  held in downtown Crossville on Saturday Oct. 1. Life Care Center of Crossville sponsored this event to support Alzheimer’s, Tennessee, Inc.  Fancy and classic automobiles were on display along with club members Corvettes. They also held a Scarecrow contest where contestants made hand made scarecrows in different themes .
    The Best in Show winner of the scarecrow contest won $100, with a $50 prize going to People’s Choice and trophies going to winners in each category. Car show winners in Best of Show and People’s Choice also receive trophies.

  • Plateau Corvette Club members went to the Plateau Bowling Lanes for their monthly night of bowling. With new high scores members had a great time and enjoyed dinner after at Ruby Tuesday.

  • September 24th Plateau Corvette Club members combined their September Drive and Dine with a Photo Shoot. They drove to Lake Tansi and parked their cars by the lake. After a few photos they drove to RPlace  in Lake Tansi for an enjoyable evening dinner.

    Each year the Plateau Corvette Club makes donations to local organizations that support people in need in our community. One of those organizations which the Corvette Club supports is the House of Hope.

    The House of Hope is a non-profit care facility for children when they are removed from their home due to drugs, abuse, and neglect. They receive no government funding.

  • The Plateau Corvette Club held their Fall Picnic in the Cumberland Mountain State Park. Club members enjoyed a great barbecue lunch before starting their Corn Hole Tournament games to crown new champions. With great weather and the perfect location by the water they had a great day out.

    Also a big “Thank You” to John and Reggie for planning and hosting the Fall Picnic.

  • September 10 Plateau Corvette Club members attended two events being held in Crossville. First they attended the Crossville Airport annual open house where they had a large display of Vintage and modern airplanes. A P-51 Mustang was the highlight of the show and did some flybys along with other vintage planes.

  • The second event they attended on Saturday was the Lake Tansi Annual Autumn Leaf Festival Cruise-in. There were plenty of booths with crafts and trinkets to purchase. Live music and door prizes along with  great weather made the setting on the lake enjoyable.

  • On August 20th Plateau Corvette Club members took a leisure drive  to Mauricios Italian restaurant in Cookeville. They dined on good Italian food, heard old music from the 40’s and 50’s, and enjoyed the great atmosphere.

    The restaurant, formerly a residence, was built in 1910. It features hardwood floors, 14′ ft ceilings, and 5 fine dining rooms, three with fireplaces.

  • August 6 Plateau Corvette Club members were invited to join the East Tennessee Corvette Club of Knoxville at their August Dine and Drive event. They met at Fortes Restaurant in downtown Crossville, enjoyed great food and conversation. More events of this kind will be planned in the future.
