Saturday July 2 Plateau Corvette Club members took an Adventure drive and tour of the Coke Ovens Museum in Dunlap TN. A few rain drops did not dampen their trip! The Museum’s mission is to preserve the region’s cultural resources and educate local citizens and visitors that their coal heritage was important to Dunlap and region. The museum’s goal is to collect and document the history of the mining operations and the old coke ovens throughout the Sequatchie Valley- extending from Alabama to Kentucky. Artifacts from other states related to coal mining are maintained and exhibited in the museum.

Thanks to John and Reggie for the tour .

Thanks to Dennis and Carol for leading the drive on some of the best back roads in Tennessee.
