On April 22nd our Corvette family created a moment of pure joy and purpose — a “Cheer Up & Get Well” parade for our friend, Charlie Boyer.
For the past two years, Charlie has faced a road no one should ever have to walk — multiple brain surgeries, several strokes, and now the possibility of another surgery ahead. Through it all, he has shown a quiet, steady strength that inspires every one of us. And we wanted him to feel what we already know:
He is not fighting alone.
With a full escort from the Fairfield Glade Police Department — lights flashing, sirens sounding, and traffic stopped at every turn — 21 Corvettes and 37 members rolled out with one mission: lift Charlie up with love, noise, and Corvette thunder.
And then came the moment that filled every heart…
Charlie stood at the end of his driveway, holding onto his walker but standing tall in spirit — smiling, waving, and shining with a courage that refuses to be dimmed.
His wife, Michelle, has been by his side through every setback, every surgery, every hard day. Her love and strength have carried him through so much — and we are deeply grateful to her for helping us set up this parade and making this beautiful moment possible.
We circled his block again and again — engines rumbling, horns sounding, hands waving, voices calling out hope and encouragement. It wasn’t just a parade.
It was a wave of love. A reminder that this club is a family.
And you know what they say — when you do something kind for someone else, you end up being the one blessed.
That was true for every single one of us that day.
To the Fairfield Glade Police Department — thank you for leading the way, escorting us safely, and blocking traffic and lights along the route.
To every member who came out — thank you for showing up with sunshine, smiles, and full hearts. It was an awesome event from start to finish!!!
And a special thank‑you to Tina and Kathy for capturing the day so beautifully in photos and video!
Charlie, your courage inspires us. Your fight strengthens us. And your smile… that’s something we’ll carry with us for many miles to come.
We’re with you — today, tomorrow, and every mile ahead. ❤️
