He builds engines for the Corvette Z06,ZR1,ZR1X models specifically LT6/LT7 engines.
Vice President Ted Frost presented our guest Dale Sherry with a Club T-shirt
July 3rd the Plateau Corvette Club members participated a patriotic parade for the elders at Good Samaritan Society of Fairfield Glade. This time the weather was perfect, and the residents were able to come out and view the parade.
Plateau Corvette Club members were invited to attend Good Samaritan’s 1st Annual Car Show, on Friday, June 27th from 1:00-3:00 pm. We were supposed to line up in parade formation and drive around the buildings for residents to view, then park so they could vote on their favorite Corvette. Mother Nature had different ideas as the rain started to come down hard, so we waited hoping it would stop. They finally had to cancel the show, but we were able to at least do a couple of laps around the complex for residents to enjoy. Maybe next time we can have a dry show!!
Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025 – under a brilliant blue sky, twenty-four Plateau Corvette Club members gathered in Crossville at 10 AM, ready to hit the road in 13 gleaming Corvettes. Their destination: Sweetwater, Tennessee, where a scenic twisty journey awaited, – winding through rolling hills and sweeping valleys, perfect for a thrilling drive together. Upon arrival, the group enjoyed a leisurely lunch at the Lazy Beagle Café, savoring great food and spirited conversation. To cap off the experience, they indulged in handcrafted, homemade ice cream from Sweetwater Creamery, relaxing together under the town’s central covered pavilion – a sweet ending to a perfect drive. After ice cream, some of the members headed home, satisfied with the day’s adventure, while others extended their journey together, making a peaceful stop at a Lakeside Park. There, they took in the tranquil water views, soaking up the beauty of the moment before finally concluding their day and heading home. A special thanks goes out to Les and Kelly, who’s careful planning made this unforgettable day possible. From mapping out the scenic route to researching the restaurant, creamery, and town of Sweetwater, their thoughtful attention to detail endured a smooth and enjoyable experience for all. Their efforts turned a great drive into a perfect adventure together! Thanks also to Kathy for the photos!!
