• On May 31 the Plateau Corvette Club members enjoyed a fun day with a picnic at the Cumberland Mountain State Park. They played Corn Hole, Bocce Ball and Croquet. Great barbecue food and weather made for a perfect day.

Thanks to John and Reggie for planning the picnic.

Thanks to Kathy for the photos.

  • We love getting out in our cars and going for a drive together – but – it’s not always about the cars – it’s about the people! The friends you make, the laughter you share, the memories you create together. May 20 was one of those days! Twenty of our Club Members got together and went to the Cumberland County Playhouse to see the performance of Sh-Boom! It was a fabulous performance! The talent was fantastic, and the songs were great. We are very lucky to have the playhouse here in Crossville. After the performance ten club members went to Casa Grande for dinner. A good time was had by all!

Thanks to Ted for making the arraignments!

  • Another very successful Tech-Talk with 27 in attendance. Lunch was held before the meeting at the Dorchester Golf Club Snack Bar. Want to thank Jerry & Tina for hosting this month. Lots of good topics and discussions as always I think we all learned something new. Most of all it was a great afternoon with a great group of people and friends. Thanks also to Les for another well prepared discussion. You certainly do your homework and we always learn from your presentations. Well this was the last Tech-Talk until Autumn as we all agreed that we will suspend Tech-Talk over the Summer. I am already looking forward to our next session in September. (Thanks Ted for the writeup)

Thanks to Kathy J for the pictures.

  • April 22nd Plateau Corvette Club members attended a Tech-Talk hosted by Jerry & Marsha. What a great and very informative day. They first had lunch at Los Agaves Mexican restaurant in Monteray and then gathered at Jerry & Marsha garage. What an awesome garage they have. Lots of great topics were discussed and a lot of good questions & answers. Les gave a lot of great info on transmission filter and oil changes.
These sessions are not only very interesting and informative, but they are a lot of fun. Great group of friends we have in the PCC.

Thanks to Jerry and Marsha for holding the April Tech Talk.

  • April 16th John and Reggie lead a group of club members on a tour of the colorful Dogwoods in Knoxville, then surprised us with lunch at the Chesapeake’s Restaurant in Knoxville.

Thanks to John and Reggie for a fun day.

Two Birthday Girls celebrating their Birthday together!

  • Sunday April 13th several Plateau Corvette members enjoyed the good weather at the Plum Crazy Cruise In on Hwy 127 in Crossville.

  • April 4th Plateau Corvette Club Members escorted the MS Tennessee Senior Contestants from their motel to the Fairfield Glade Conference center in a parade of Corvettes. On Saturday night April 5th they had their pageant at the Palace Theater in downtown Crossville. The winner is Terry Coulter and she will go to Atlantic City New Jersey to compete in the MS Senior America Pageant. (https://mssenioramericapageant.com/). After the drive the club celebrated with dinner at Casa Grande in Fairfield Glade. There are videos of the parade on the Clubs Facebook Page

Thank you to John L, Sharon P, Cindy G, Lee G, and Connie I for their help and all the great pictures and videos.

Thank You to all club members that drove their Corvettes in the parade.

  • Jerry and Marsha organized and lead a fantastic club ride to the Short Mountain Distillery in Woodbury, Tennessee. The SHAKEN GLASS restaurant, which is on the property, was our destination for the day so that we could devour some double smoked wings, loaded French fries, cheeseburgers, open-faced roast beef sandwiches and many other options. The drink menu overflowed with options.
We started our journey at the Monterey Shell Gas station (a classic PCC meeting point) at the exit off I40. The early morning temperatures were nice enough to allow everyone to either put down their convertible tops or pop out those targa tops. Let the sunshine in!
We travelled over hill and dale passing splendid Tennessee farms and old barns, all along enjoying the wonderful sight of wild spring flowers (dandelions included). Some of the smells also included what cows leave behind in the pasture. We enjoyed riverside views, big sunny skies and plenty of twisting roads to keep our paddle shifting hands limbered up for more rides to come. It was tempting, but we didn’t stop at any of the yard sales that we saw along the route.
In case you didn’t know…these “social rides” are when you’re really going to get to know our club members. I’ll try not to talk too much. (grin) Come on out and have some fun and make new friends in the club.
Thanks again to Jerry and Marsha

  • Plateau Corvette Club March Tech Talk, hosted by Phil Elmore. Thanks!! There was a lot of good topics and even a show and tell on how to put your C7 or C8 in neutral if you don’t have battery power. If you missed out, sign up for the April Tech Talk.

  • The weekend of March 14 and 15 some of our group traveled to Pigeon Forge for Corvette Expo, a weekend of beautiful cars, good friends, lots of laughter and good times! Indoor cars, outdoor cars, NCRS judging, people, vendors, music, trophies and smiles all around! Thanks to Claudia, Jeanie, Cindy and Kathy for the photos. Expo is an annual event in Pigeon Forge…if you haven’t been – you should go! It’s a great time together being with friends and making memories!!!

Thanks to Roger and Kathy for leading.
