July 8th Plateau Corvette Club members embarked on a scenic, curvy ride through the mountains and hills of Tennessee, en route to the Stolen Coin Oyster Bar and Bistro in Gainesboro Tn. where they stopped for lunch before hitting the curves and enjoying the beautiful scenery as they made their way back home.

Saturday July 2 Plateau Corvette Club members took an Adventure drive and tour of the Coke Ovens Museum in Dunlap TN. A few rain drops did not dampen their trip! The Museum’s mission is to preserve the region’s cultural resources and educate local citizens and visitors that their coal heritage was important to Dunlap and region. The museum’s goal is to collect and document the history of the mining operations and the old coke ovens throughout the Sequatchie Valley- extending from Alabama to Kentucky. Artifacts from other states related to coal mining are maintained and exhibited in the museum.

THURSDAY JUNE 23rd PLATEAU CORVETTE CLUB MEMBERS DROVE DOWN GENESIS ROAD TO LILLY BLUFF PARK WITH A SHORT HIKE TO THE OVERLOOK, THEY THEN TOOK LOTS OF BACK ROADS TO CLARKRANGE, MONTERY AND LUNCH AT SPANKYS IN COOKEVILLE, THEY ENDED THE DAY WITH A COOL RIDE BACK HOME!

On JUNE 16 Plateau Corvette Cub members drove the back roads to the Science and Energy Museum in Oakridge TN. After their tour they drove to Jackson Square and had lunch at Dean’s Restaurant and Bakery. After lunch they visited the K25 Museum which is on the grounds of the original K25 building where the Atomic Bomb was developed. Very interesting tour.

June 11th 2022 the Plateau Corvette Club held their 7th Annual Cruisin’ into Summer Cruise In, in Fairfield Glade Tennessee. There were over 130 Custom Cars, Trucks and Corvettes on display, as well as a Hula Dance demonstration, Corn Hole Games, DJ Music and a Bake Sale.

June 3rd Plateau Corvette Club members went cruisin’ the curves, hills and valleys as they head to the Eastern portion of Tennessee – after some Dragon “slaying” they then headed to a beautiful spot for lunch, Tapoco Tavern in Robbinsville, North Carolina. After lunch they again were hitting the curves and enjoying the beautiful views along the route back home, they even squeezed in an ice cream stop.
