  • On Saturday April 1st, following storms Friday night, 40 of our club members in 21 Corvettes showed up to participate in the car show and Benefit for Samuel Neal held at the Wildwood Stables in Fairfield Glade. Little Samuel who was 13 months old at the time of the accident (3 years old now) was there with his family and people were encouraged to come up and meet him.  The family was very thankful for all who turned out to help them raise funds for their trip to Panama where Samuel will received stem cell therapy to help him in his recovery. Live music was played by Jake Hoot who played a few songs that he recently recorded, they will be released this summer and the Bluegrass band “Silverpoint” from Wilder, Tennessee took the stage and sang a few of their songs before wind knocked out the power for their equipment.

Thanks to Ron and Jean for leading the group and collecting donations for the family!!

  • March 24th several Plateau Corvette Members drove to Loretto Kentucky to tour Maker’s Mark Distillery which is a National Historic Landmark located at Star Hill Farms. They took a tour of the Distillery were they are still making Kentucky bourbon just like they did in 1953. From the old letterpress to the way they hand-rotate every barrel and hand-dip every bottle.

After their tour they drove on in the rain to Ragettis Italian Restaurant in Lebanon, KY for a nice meal then a scenic drive back to Crossville.

Thanks to Roger and Kathy for leading and planning the drive!!

  • March 15 and 16th several Plateau Corvette Club Members drove to Ball Ground Georgia to visit the Famous Gibbs Gardens featuring over 20 Million + Daffodil flowers, 100 + Varieties covering 100 + acres of hillsides and valleys. It was an overnight trip with plenty of scenic drives along the way. They spent the night in Cummings Georgia then visited the gardens on the following day for the breathtaking view of the massive gardens. After their tour they took a relaxing drive back home of course with stops along the way to eat at some great restaurants.

Thanks to Ron and Jean for planning and leading the group.

OH NO they are being followed!!

  • February 14 Several Plateau Corvette Club members drove to Cookeville TN for a Valentines Day luncheon at Mauricio’s Italian Restaurant. At the restaurant flowers were presented to all the Ladies.

A true friendship is like a Valentine,
    Where your lives regularly intertwine,
It matures like a fine wine,
And feels like a ray of sunshine!

Thanks to Frank for leading!! Thanks to Laurie for the photos!

  • February 4th was a beautiful sunny Saturday morning when a group of 8 Corvettes with 15 members met at the Monterey Shell for a “come out and play” cruise to Edley’s BBQ in Chattanooga. It was crisp and cool (38 degrees) so they had their driver’s meeting inside. They headed out and hit the River Road, TN 84 – headed towards Sparta. It was a great way to start the day – beautiful curvy mountain roads along rolling hills that eventually tapered off into rural farmland, then winding along the Calf Killer River as it snaked its way to downtown Sparta and the beautiful White County Courthouse. From there they headed to Twin Falls at Rock Island State Park. Of course, they ended the day with Ice Cream – at the Udder Yum Ice Cream Shop in Dayton. Sunshine, Corvettes, Curves and friends, what could be a better day?  Thank you to the group that came out to play!

Thanks to Roger and Kathy for leading and photos!!

  • Tuesday, January 24th several Plateau Corvette Club members took a Cruise and headed towards East Tennessee to the Hot Rod’s Diner in Alcoa near Maryville. This is one of the best places to eat in the area!

Thanks to Roger and Kathy for leading the way and the photos.

  • Plateau Corvette Club’s Inaugural Drive of  2023!   We took “Roger’s Route” (a/k/a “The long route”) – 11 Cars, 19 members, 1 dam, 2 waterfalls, 2 state parks, hundreds of curves and lots and lots of smiles!   It was a great way to start the New Year and the 2023 driving season.

They stopped at the new restaurant at Fall Creek Falls – no buffet anymore but the food was delicious and plentiful and service was spot on!    If you haven’t been to the new restaurant yet and would like to try it out, its worth the drive!

The ride home was nice, curvy and scenic too!  Ended up at the Dairy Queen in Monterey for ice cream, of course!!

Thanks to Roger and Kathy for leading and the great photos !!

OH OH !! Watch the road!!
